Alive in electric colour

When I went to Morocco, I realised I must have subconsciously got a memo about colour. When I walked into the Jardin Majorelle (which was undoubtedly one of my favourite places of the trip) it was just all-blue, electric blue everywhere. It felt like being part of a painted paradise, and my outfit aptly suited the colours.

I never used to be a fan of New Look, but it's slowly won me back, and served me well on this holiday. It helps that is one of few high street shops near uni, but I've honestly been a lot more impressed with their stock recently. I picked up these trousers for a tenner. I'm especially in love with their shoes. These sneakers are certainly not a good representation of just how gorgeous their shoes can be, although I certainly wouldn't have bought them if I didn't like them. Their slight platform saved me when it rained like crazy. Yes, I did have the luck to go to Morocco when it rained...

I really do not frequent Primark. It's not like I'm one of those 'I'm too good for Primark' people, I just have a rule about shopping: if I could get something similar on sale at the same price and better quality, then I'm going elsewhere. Primark really isn't as cheap as everyone raves about. However, I braved going into my local Primark recently when trying to find a new, suitable wardrobe for my holiday in Morocco, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The stock in the store was much better than I remember from my shopping trips with friends in my early teens (although my fourteen strong collection of coloured skinny jeans aged thirteen definitely has Primark prices to thank).

The skirt fits like a dream, clutching well to your waist and giving an almost peplum feel to the material around your hips- the silhouette (I hope you will agree) is super flattering! You can't quite see, but I paired it all with some coral-coloured sandals, which complimented the pattern wonderfully. I can't help spinning in this skirt, and watching it float around my ankles. It's a princess thing, ok.
